LACEMAKER’S CENTRE

The proposal in this project is the development of a regional tourist complex, a lace workshop and a seafood restaurant in the Brazilian municipality of Aquiraz, in Ceará, with the intention of providing a space to make and teach traditional lace techniques.

On the coast of Ceará, the practice of fishing and handicrafts is one of the main sources of household income in the region, a custom passed down through generations.

The objective of the architectural project is the creation of a tourist complex that combines craft workshops and the sale of local handicraft, specifically lacemaking, and an area dedicated to coastal gastronomy, with the sale of seafood originating from local fisheries. The proposal aims to generate adequate spaces that provide comfort and coziness for those who visit and work at the site.
